Specsavers was named Finland’s third-best workplace

The international optical chain Specsavers has been ranked as Finland’s third-best workplace in the large companies category of the prestigious Great Place to Work® survey. This achievement builds on the company’s success last year, when it ranked fourth, and demonstrates a strong commitment to employee well-being and the continuous improvement of the work environment.

Finland’s Best Workplaces 2026 were announced on March 26. The Great Place to Work® ranking is based on an employee survey that measures employees’ experience of trust, pride, and camaraderie in the workplace.

“We are truly delighted and proud of this recognition. Our improved ranking shows that we have been focusing on the right things. This is no coincidence, but the result of the determined work we do together with our franchisees and our entire staff. This wonderful recognition gives us even more enthusiasm to continue our work toward creating Finland’s best workplace,” says Lotta Holmaheikki, Country Manager at Specsavers.

Over the past year, Specsavers has focused on what matters most: people and strong collaboration with our franchise partners. The company has increased entrepreneurs’ involvement in decision-making, strengthened collaboration between stores and the support office, and continued to invest in staff learning and development across all roles.

“We are a determined and resilient team, and we always focus on delivering the best. This award reflects the hard work and dedication of everyone at our stores. I am incredibly proud of all of us and delighted that we can celebrate this together,” Holmaheikki concludes.

The success was complemented by the “Making Culture Visible” special award granted by Duunitori. The award was given for Specsavers’ bold, authentic, and distinctive way of highlighting its workplace culture. According to Duunitori’s expert panel, Specsavers’ employer communications aren’t superficial; instead, they connect with people on a personal level, make the meaning of work tangible, and dare to share employees’ own stories.

“Leadership today requires the ability to build connections. In the best workplaces, strong connections foster excellent collaboration that multiplies productivity,” says Kirsi Ilmasti, CEO of Great Place to Work Finland.
